Target your employer and role of choice
Customise your search and develop your online brand
Service Description
Many people seeking employment waste hours cold-calling, searching on-line job advertisements and writing applications that do not secure interviews. This method of job-seeking leaves people competing with hundreds, if not thousands of others who are doing the same thing and make it much more difficult for you to stand out from the pack. This workshop is designed to equip you with the skills you need to identify and target the organisations you dream of working with to achieve your career objective and you will leave with a well-defined action plan. During this session you will identify at least two organisations that you would like to work for, research their activities and draft an email to them, accompanied by your new resume, seeking an opportunity for work experience, voluntary work and/or employment. Most recruiters and prospective employers will research candidates on-line when short-listing applicants for interviews. This workshop provides information and instruction about how to strategically build your professional on-line presence, followers and personal brand to grow your networks and chances of success when seeking a new role. The workshop covers Linkedin, Twitter, Facebook and Instagram as platforms for your personal brand. Networking plays an important role in your job search and during this session we will discuss how and why this is important. You will be required to create or update at least one of your professional profiles during the workshop. A discount is available if you book all three workshops. Pricing advertised will add GST and includes limited out of session support.
